Rules

The following rules are created for safe and fair fight for all opponents. For any questions please contact organizer or safety officials. Any violation of the rules will result in deduction of fight fees.

Duration

Preliminary bouts - 5 minutes per round x 3 rounds
Main card bouts - 5 minutes per round x 3 rounds
Super fights bouts- 5 minutes per round x 5 rounds
Title Fight bouts event - 5 minutes per rounds x 5 rounds

Gear

Open fingers gloves(6 ounces) will be provided by organizer.
Fighters must bring their own mouth guards and groin guard.
Groin guards must have strap, free floating type cup or pocket type cups are not allowed.
Rash guards are not allowed to be worn with exception to female competitors.

Tape Wrapping Handwrap will be provided by organizers, gauze cloth and medical tape. No hard wrapping allowed. The tape cannot be braided, folded, stacked or harden to cover the knuckles.

Any tape on other parts of the body such as knee, ankles, feet, elbow, are only allowed if opponent agrees.

Judging

10 Point must system
Criteria for winning round is based on clear and effective strikes, successful throws, successful takedown, effective aggression, achieving full mount, and near submission.
For fighters during ground fight, both fighters must show aggression and attack, if there is no aggression or attacks shown within 20 seconds, both fighters will be required to stand up.

Ground Rule

Kung Fu Combat incorporates a 20 second “No action rule” which is unique to our event. Any fighter on the ground will be given 20 seconds of time where after if there is no effective action they will be stood back up to starting position with the exception of:
a. submission is taking place
b. ground and pound is taking place
A grounded opponent with his back to the ground may up-kick to the head of his opponent with
three points on the ground.

Striking Fouls

Butting with the head.
Eye gouging of any kind.
Groin attacks of any kind.
Striking the back of the head.
Striking to the spine.
Throat strikes of any kind.
Putting a finger into any orifice or any cut or laceration of an opponent.
Jabbing with fingers.
 

Kicking Fouls

Kicking the head of a grounded opponent from top position.
Kneeing the head of a grounded opponent.
Stomping a grounded opponent.
Kicking the groin.

Grappling Fouls

Hair pulling.
Fish hooking.
Small joint manipulation.
Grabbing the trachea.
Grabbing the clavicle.
Clawing, pinching or twisting the flesh
Grabbing or holding the rope or the cage.
Grabbing opponent's clothing or hooking the glove.
Fish-hooking any orafice .
Pulling hair.

Throwing Fouls

Spiking the opponent to the ground head first or neck first.
Throwing the opponent out of the ring. trikes with hand, fist, elbow, knees, feet, thows, kicks, and submissions.

Unsportsmanlike Conduct

Using abusive language in the bout area.
Biting an opponent.
Spitting at an opponent.
Engaging in any unsportsmanlike conduct that causes injury to an opponent.
Attacking an opponent on or during the break.
Attacking an opponent who is under the care of the referee.
Attacking an opponent after the bell has sounded the end of the round.
Timidity, including, without limitation, avoiding contact with an opponent.
Consistently dropping the mouthpiece or faking an injury.
Any action designed to stall the fight.
Flagrantly disregarding the instructions of the referee.
Interference by the corner.

Other Fouls

Consumption of food or liquids that enhance performance such as Red Bull, Lipoten are not allowed.
Illegal hard wrap of hands.
Use of inhalers.
Use of oils creams or gel on any part of the body.
Application of dirt or foreign particles to gloves or hand and foot.
Intimidation of opponent outside of bout.
Team or corners using abusive language.

Other Penalties

Not showing up by the official weigh-in time.
Being tardy to any event on the official schedule.
Not making weigh.
Each fighter is allowed 3 people in his corner for his fight. Any extra persons i.e.: corners, seconds, manager, translator, etc. that exceed the allowed amount of 3 extras will be penalized.
Any use of profanity, vulgar language, derogatory comments, racist comments, threats from the fighter or fighter’s team members to any of the organizers staff, officials, competitors or other teams will result in penalties.
